The Paddington reclining sofas and armchairs are displayed in our stores at Stratford Upon Avon and Coventry. This is one of our best value sofas in terms of combining high quality with low cost. The models’ immediate characteristics are deep, luxurious fillings and padding, whilst delivering seat areas, that are spacious in addition to high back supports that allow maximum comfort for the user, while helping to provide correct posture. All pieces are available with either a high quality manual or electronic recliner/relaxer action.
The frame construction is excellent, incorporating furniture grade plywood and hardwood rails and joints are glued and screwed where necessary. Housed in the frame in the seating and back support areas are traditional steel serpentine spring units, which are coated in a soft material in order to reduce noise and eliminate any chance of corrosion. There are also additional layers of high tensile elasticated webbing, helping to reinforce the springs and to further increase comfort. The seat interior is made from dense polyurethane foam and is home to individual, steel pocket springs, each placed in their own separate fabric packet.
The pocket springs assist with weight distribution and help to enhance comfort and durability. There is an extra layer of soft Dacron fibre on top of all foam cushions, to add an even further degree of luxury for the user. These methods of manufacture will prevent sagging and keeps the seat pad and upholstery lively, ensuring, that when properly maintained over time, a long lasting showroom appearance will be evident on the furniture. All fibres used in this sofa are spun, loose orthopaedic fibres of the highest quality available in the furniture industry. All manual or power Recliner units are all made by Leggett and Platt incorporated who are the worlds’ leading manufacturers of recliner actions.
